I am listed in the top 2% of scientists in the world!

In 2019, Ioannidis, Baas, Klavans and Boyack, of Stanford University, created a database of the top 100,000 scientists. The scientists are groups into 22 scientific fields and 176 sub-fields. I have the honor of being listed in this database, in the sub-field of Operations Research (OR). In my sub-field there were 23,455 people that made it into the top 2% of the world’s scientists. I was ranked 270 in the world. In the UK, my home country, I was ranked 17th. The authors state their citation index, the c-score, used to rank the scientists favor those with longer careers (as they will have more time to accumulate citations). Looking through the dates of the UK OR scientists ahead of me, only one started their publishing career after me - placing me second in the UK! Only 28 OR scientists started their publishing career after me who were ahead of me in the world rankings!
