Moving on...

29 years ago I left my hometown in Devon to come to Cardiff as a student. During that time I have made many friends in Cardiff and have had a successful, interesting, and enjoyable career in Cardiff Business School. I am grateful to many in Cardiff University who have been supportative over the years as I progressed from an Undergraduate, Postgraduate, PhD student to a Research Assistant, Lecturer, all the way to a full Professor.

However, the time has come to go back home and be near my family. I am lucky–I will be joining Exeter Business School in September 2019–and I will be able to continue to do what I love, research and teaching. Of course, I am going to miss my friends, my colleagues, and my research group, the LSDG. However, I am sure the move will be a great chance to explore new ideas, to make some new friends (while still keeping my old ones), and to have some new adventures.

So, I feel sad to leave, but at the same time I am looking forward to my new life!

To all my friends, I have two things to say… I am still your friend, and welcome to Exeter!

My research interests involve the application of control theory and statistical techniques to operations management and supply chain scenarios to investigate their dynamic, stochastic, and economic performance.
